I’m loving this quick workout:
1 mile swim
Goal: Under an hour.
I figured out why one of my buddies is always “stinky” when we go for a workout even though the activity hadn’t even started yet.. His heart rate monitor strap wreaks of old sweat! I usually rinse mine off, but i sniffed mine, and although not as raunchy as my friend’s, I could smell an odor. To remedy this, after every workout, I bring the HRM strap in the shower with me and squirt some baby shampoo on it and quickly lather it up and rinse immediately.. Then hang dry. Say no to being stinky pre-workout!
I’m getting a little burned out on crash gifs, but c’mon—aerobars on the group ride?
(source; it’s been making the rounds on Facebook)
I’ve been asked before why I don’t ride in a group. This is why. I’d be this guy 😁
I can’t stop watching this :( I totally feel bad for the guy. But dang, talk about total lack of common sense.
Why is his front brake on the right side?
I will swim mile long exorcisms
Lapping demons with each stroke
To conquer my fears
Ever present ever present
I will bike black asphalt penance
Spinning new poems alone
Writing through the disappeared
Forever lost forever lost
I will run angry tear searing steps
Pounding miles away from you
In order to reach my finish
Never yours never yours
Well it’s been almost a month and I FINALLY sat down to recap my day. It’s 8 pages of text in Word, so maybe come back when you have some time to kill.
tl;dr - Ironman is hard. But not until you’re almost done. Then it gets REALLY hard.
“I never want to run a marathon, but I would love to do an Ironman some day.”
Hey dummy. It turns out that in order to do an Ironman, you may have to throw a marathon in there. Two marathons, one ultra, and one 50 mile race later, I am an Ironman.
Wow. Great report, super inspiring- thanks for posting!
